A clean, unmarked book with a tight binding. 100 pages. Black and white photos. Essays by Rebecca Walker and Jack Reynolds, who curated this exhibition that appeared in the Addison Gallery of American Art, the Phillips Academy and elsewhere, with artwork by Buchanan, Christenberry and Belcher. Max Belcher's subject is comparing houses built by American freed slaves in Liberia with those built in the south of the U.S. Beverly Buchanan photographs "shacks." William Christenberry photographs structures in his native Alabama. Oblong format: 11"w x 10 1/2"h.
